Taken the morning after the very last heavy autumn snowfall in Snowdonia. I had to wait for several hours for the shadows to shorten, constantly praying that Snowdon wouldn't do her usual disappearing trick behind cloud. My hours of waiting finally paid off in this 'classic' shot of the horseshoe in autumn snow - a scene we may never witness again. The day after, it rained and the next day the snows had melted into waterfalls all over Snowdonia
