Bella's Progress 2
26th September 2007
We're now at the end of August and it's over 2 months since Bella was so close to death - what a difference a few short weeks make!
Bella is now as fit and active as she was 12 months ago, the furunculosis appears to have abated and virtually disappeared, whilst she is now able to wag her tail again when she's happy (she had apparently trapped a nerve in her spine whilst I was lifting her into the boot of my car on a previous visit to the vets for an operation on her furunculosis). It appears that the manipulation required during her treatment for bloat may have released this nerve and she now appears to have full use of her tail again. You can't believe how much the sight of her constantly carrying her tail tucked between her legs saddened me, but it's absolutely wonderful now to scratch her back and see the effect it has on her, making her wag her tail wildly from side to side. She is also much more lively when out walking and is enjoying life again.
Long may it continue, and thanks again to all involved in her recovery, and to all those of you who read this newsletter
